NANO BROW

Nano brow (also known as Nano hybrid, Nanoblading) is a semi-permanent cosmetic tattoo technique that is applied using a machine to enhance the brows in any way desired. Nano is a very versatile method of cosmetic tattooing and can range from either the most natural brow appearance to more full on. Unlike microblading, which is best suited best for those with either normal/ dry/ combination skin types, the Nano technique benefits all skin types but specifically those with oily skin so they too can have a hair stroked brow. Styles can range from all hair strokes, to a combination of hair strokes with shading in sparse areas, to a bold “makeup” brow. Soft shading can be easily layered to mimic density and fuller brows. This service incredibly customizable from client to client.

To prepare for the procedure, a topical numbing cream will be applied (more numbing will be applied during as well to keep discomfort at a minimum). While the initial numbing cream is sitting, the consultation will take place. Shape, color, healing instructions, the brow’s healing phases, and any questions that come up will be covered during the consultation. The brows will then be designed on the face for approval, and any adjustments can be made before the tattoo is applied. Once a shape has been agreed upon, the procedure will begin. For most clients the tattoo application is near painless and goes by very quickly. For most clients, the length of the initial appointment is 3 hours. After the Nano procedure has been completed, some clients will experience slight redness around the area, but no immense swelling. Once the numbing wears off it is very normal for the brows to feel a bit sore (similar to a sunburn), but that usually will settle by the end of the day.

There is a 7-14 day healing process but going about day to day activities will not be an issue. Taking off work is not necessary and normal life can continue while the brows heal. You may choose to book an additional touch up some time between the 6th week and 3 month. This touch up is where the brows can be fine tuned and perfected, thickened if desired, and deepened in color if necessary. It is recommended to come in every 2-4 years for a color refresh touch up.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN NANO AND MICROBLADING?

Nano and Microblading are two similar procedures, as the end result can be identical. The main difference is how the tattoo is applied. Microblading is applied with an ultra fine manual hand tool and is best suited for dry to combination skin types. Nano uses a single needle and is applied with a cosmetic tattoo machine and is suited for all skin types, but benefits oily skin types as well. Nano provides a bit more flexibility in the final outcome than Microblading.
