POWDER BROW
Powder brow (also known as Ombre, Ombre Powder Brows, Shading, Microshading) is a semi-permanent cosmetic tattoo technique that is applied using a machine to provide a misty, powdered brow look. By using an ultra fine single needle, The results are completely customizable depending on what end result is desired. This service is best suited for clients that prefer a brow with more structure. Results can vary from a natural softly powdered effect, to a bold and defined makeup look. Powder brows age gracefully on any skin type, but is especially great for oily skin types.
To prepare for the procedure, a topical numbing cream will be applied (more numbing will be applied during as well to keep discomfort at a minimum). While the initial numbing cream is sitting, the consultation will take place. Shape, color, healing instructions, the brow’s healing phases, and any questions that come up will be covered during the consultation. The brows will then be designed on the face for approval, and any adjustments can be made before the tattoo is applied. Once a shape has been agreed upon, the procedure will begin. For most clients the tattoo application is near painless and goes by very quickly. For most clients, the length of the initial appointment is 2-2.5 hours. After the Powder brow has been completed, some clients will experience slight redness around the area, but no immense swelling. Once the numbing wears off it is very normal for the brows to feel a bit sore (similar to a sunburn), but that usually will settle by the end of the day.
There is a 7-14 day healing process but going about day to day activities will not be an issue. Taking off work is not necessary and normal life can continue while the brows heal. You may choose to book an additional touch up some time between the 6th week and 3 month. This touch up is where the brows can be fine tuned and perfected, thickened if desired, and deepened in color if necessary. It is recommended to come in every 2-4 years for a color refresh touch up.
Please take a moment to read over our studio policies prior to booking an appointment.

ELIGIBLE WITH DOCTOR CLEARANCE AND NOTE
If any of the following apply to you, you may be able to receive cosmetic tattoo services. Providing a Doctor’s note is MANDATORY:
Diabetes: High blood sugar levels can complicate the healing process, with higher risk of infection. It is very important to check in with a Doctor to ensure the condition is stable and under control.
Chemotherapy: Chemotherapy medications can often weaken the immune system. This make the body more susceptible to infection and more difficult to heal. Once cleared from an oncologist, an appointment can be booked.
Thyroid conditions: The color of the brows can fade faster when taken with certain thyroid medications.
Glaucoma: The risk of developing an eye infection can be higher.
High Blood Pressure: Those with high blood pressure may have slightly greater bleeding than normal. Excessive bleeding could cause the ink not to stick properly and lead to poor healed results.
If you have any autoimmune diseases, you MUST have a doctor’s note approving the procedure

Whether you are looking to refresh faded brows from another artist, or are interested in correcting a discolored tattoo, a cover up is a great option to bring the brows back to life. Depending on the state of the current brow, transformations can be achieved through Microblading, Nano, or Powder techniques. For the best results, it is recommended for the previous eyebrow tattoos/microblading to be 80%+ faded. An extra fee of $50 may be added to correct very discolored brows. Since every client coming from another artist is treated as new, the full pricing includes both an initial and complimentary procedure. The skin can be a bit unpredictable during the healing process depending on how it was previously tattooed (especially if scarring is present), so the complimentary touch up will help tremendously in creating a beautiful, but natural, cover up. Some brow tattoos must take a different route to correction or can not be reworked due to a few different factors: the brows not being faded enough, if very heavy scarring is present, or the color needing correction is too strong. For these tattoos, Saline Tattoo Removal may be the best way to begin your cover up. It is mandatory when inquiring to send over photos of the brow area for review to help decide the best option for you.

Everyone deserves great brows! Depending on the state of the current brow, transformations can be achieved through Microblading, Nano, or Powder techniques. Microblading is usually the best option to give an undetectable transformation. A brow transformation can remedy any of the following concerns: thinning eyebrows, damaged hair follicles, those wanting a more defined look, hair loss due to age, etc. The important thing to note is that the styling of the tattoo celebrates irregularity and what would naturally occur on the face. The goal is to achieve the most undetectably enhanced appearance, so hair strokes are generally used to create the most seamless transformation.

For the best healed results possible, it is very important to follow the aftercare instructions until your tattoo is completely healed.
THINGS TO AVOID:DAY 1-14
Do not pick or scratch the new tattoo. Picking at the area may cause scarring, loss of pigment, or infection.
Avoid anything that may cause the area to get “soggy”. (sweat, steamy showers, swimming, saunas) TIP: Use the provided shower shields to help keep the area dry in the shower.
Avoid direct sun exposure or tanning.
No facials, Botox, chemical treatments, chemical exfoliants, retinoids, retinol, or any other product that could speed up the skin’s cell turnover rate. Avoid these treatments until you are completely healed from the 2nd treatment.
Avoid side sleeping or sleeping face down. TIP: Sleep with an airplane neck pillow on to help keep the neck supported throughout the night. Try your best to sleep on your back.
No makeup or skincare on the area until fully healed. TIP: Makeup or skincare on the rest of the face is fine, just be careful when applying/removing. It is best to leave a 1 inch clearance around the area just in case.
If you have pets at home, be sure to change all pillow cases every 2-3 nights during the healing process. If you don’t have animals, change all pillow cases once as soon as you get home.
AFTERCARE ROUTINE:
DAY 1-14 (COMPLETE ONCE A DAY UNTIL ALL SCABS HAVE FALLEN OFF)
With clean hands gently wash the tattoo with water and provided Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser. Try to keep the rinse 20 seconds or under. TIP: Unscented baby soap is a great alternative.
Pat dry with provided paper towels immediately after. TIP: Do NOT use wash cloths or towels as they can harbor bacteria.
Apply a very small layer of provided aftercare with clean hands. (The recommended amount of product to apply is the size equivalent to 1-2 rice grains.)
FOR NEW CLIENTS: The amount of product in the aftercare kit should be enough for both the initial procedure and touch up procedure. TIP: Store contents in a cool dark place in between appointments.
ONCE YOU ARE HEALED:
DAY 14+ (YOU WILL KNOW YOU ARE COMPLETELY HEALED WHEN ALL SCABS HAVE FALLEN OFF)
Apply sunscreen over the tattoo daily, especially when out in direct sunlight. This will extend the life of your tattoo.
Use cleansers, light exfoliants, moisturizer, or any other mild skin products over the area.
Apply makeup to the area to any small gaps.
KEEP IN MIND:
Everyone’s tattoo will settle-in differently depending on lifestyle, skin type, skin tone, and aftercare. Results are NOT guaranteed due to these factors.
Signs of infection: Immense swelling, tenderness or pain, redness around the skin, greenish/brown discharge, skin may feel hot around the area. If there are any concerns or symptoms with regards to the procedure site or worry of an infection, immediately call a physician.
If physician care is required related to the Body Art procedure(s), the client is to notify the Body Art practitioner of the problem and the resolution by a physician or clinic. This information shall be placed in the client’s file.
FOR NEW CLIENTS: There may be some small gaps or lightened color, which is very normal. At the 4th week is when it is recommended to start thinking about how you'd like to move forward for a touch up, if you choose to.
